A media wall for
everyday life in Preston.

Folls designs and installs bespoke media walls, fireplace features and fitted cabinetry for customers in Preston. We plan the screen, storage and equipment together so the finished wall works for the way your household uses the room.

Start with the floor space you want to keep.

Preston combines established neighbourhoods with new housing at Cottam and across the north west of the city. A media wall for an existing living room can have a different brief from one being planned before a new home is furnished.

In an existing room, we look at the sofa position, door openings and how much depth the installation can use without narrowing circulation. In a new home, deciding on the TV position and storage early helps you plan furniture and electrical requirements together. A full-width feature is an option, not a requirement.

Give your equipment a place that works.

Bring details of your TV, soundbar, games consoles, router and other devices to the design conversation. Cabinet openings, ventilation and service access should follow what you actually own, including space to reach connections or change equipment later.

Closed cupboards can hold everyday items while a small amount of open shelving leaves room for display. Cable routes and sockets are considered at the design stage; a clean finish should still allow sensible maintenance access.

Decide on the fireplace before fixing the layout.

If you want a fire, its model and installation requirements affect the recess, materials, clearances and ventilation. If you prefer a TV and furniture feature without a fireplace, we can design around that brief too. Lighting can be incorporated with access to its power supplies planned in.
